Handbag, Shoulder Bag, Wet Felted, Fuchsia

Round shaped, wet felted shoulder bag hand-made using Merino wool in several shades of pink, soft lavender, and cream.  Accents include bamboo and silk fibres, silk noil, wool neps, and wool pencil-roving.  

The purse is 11 inches wide, 9 inches high, and 6 inches deep.  The strap adds an additional 20 inches to the overall length.  

The strap is wet felted using my own hand-spun art yarn of merino wool and teeswater locks felted onto pink merino then wrapped and hand sewn around a wool core.  It is sewn by hand onto the sides of the bag.

The closure is a hand made ceramic button with a wool button loop.

The fibres I use are carefully selected from primarily Canadian sources giving preference to small businesses, renewable resources, and recycled fibres. 

Everything in my shop is personally hand-made by me with attention to selecting a cohesive variety of yarns providing an assortment of textures that is as appealing to the eye as it is to the touch.  All items are one of a kind and will bear the idiosyncrasies of creative human error.

Photography is done using natural lighting with the goal to provide the truest actual image that you will see in your home.  Please note that due to computer settings the colour may appear slightly different in person.  I aim to provide thorough descriptions, but if you have questions, please contact me for further clarification.

I am based in Canada.  For US and International customers, you may prefer to select an upgraded shipping method.  While this will cost more up front, it provides you with tracking features, peace of mind, and insurance should your item be lost or damaged during shipment.

Your purchase may be shipped vacuum packed along with instructions to puff it up once it arrives.  Smallish items are sent in envelopes, when possible, to keep shipping costs low and keep our carbon footprint in check.

Care Instructions - Work gently with hand crafted items as the natural fibers and hand made characteristics provide a delicate product that should be gently cared for.  Hand wash in cold water, roll out excess water in a towel, lay flat to dry forming it into the shape that you want it to retain when dry.  You can iron if desired when damp or dry.
